EA Sports has released news that Rory Mcllroy PGA Tour, released nearly three years ago, will no longer be available through digital storefronts and EA Access. The game's removal will take place on May 22nd.
The news raises licensing questions and has marked only the second time a game title has been removed from the subsription service. The EA Access team said:Hey members,
Unfortunately, we have to announce that EA SPORTS™Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR® will soon be removed from digital storefronts and will no longer be available for purchase. It will also be leaving the EA Access Vault on May 22, 2018.
We’re sad to see any title leave the collection, and rest assured that we’ll do our best to limit removals in the future. For now, we hope you enjoy the other great games in our service, and we look forward to bringing you even more.

No "official" reason has been provided as to why this move is being made by EA Stores, but the timing marks the three year anniversary for the game which points strongly to a licensing deal expiring.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see if another game like The Golf Club 2019 can pick up the slack?
